Curious about traffic patterns here in Oregon?
Here’s a chart comparing traffic volume on major corridors in Oregon. (Open image in new tab to zoom in). It’s from ODOT’s riveting Observed Statewide Traffic Volume Patterns (page 3).
Other tidbits from the report:
- Speeds have picked up, which is becoming part of a nationwide conversation about increasing claims and severity of accidents in some areas.
- Sorry to those of us in the Western Portland Metro area of Hillsboro, Beaverton, and Bethany, Hwy 26 showed almost no change.
- Unfortunately, highway 217 wasn’t included.
It’s interesting to speculate how COVID may change patterns of living in the long run.
